Opera is one of the top five used browsers in the world. Many people love it and use it. Now Opera is available in the Mac App Store – but only if you’re at least 17 years old. The editors from Apple rated the App to be not free to the youth.

The reason is that there is told to be “many times / bold: scenes with erotic allusions.” So Apple decided to rate it only to young adolts to prevent our youth.

You think Opera is now angry or offended off that? No way. The reaction from Opera to that is a wonderful way to deal with that. Jan Standal said:

“I’m very concerned, seventeen is very young, and I am not sure if, at that age, people are ready to use such an application.” He continues: “It’s very fast, you know, and it has a lot of features.” “I think the download requirement should be at least 18.”

But for all people 17 or less: there’s a work-around for you. Opera is also available the old-fashion way on www.opera.com – without any confirmation of age. But be careful!

The software is fantastic and so is the management. I personally use Mac and Opera: there’s neigther often nor bold erotic scenes here I can see…
